Inspiration

From a spiky diamond to a ship in a galaxy, this is how the idea for ChipShip Colors was born and the premise behind its design.

For ChipShip Colors, my original idea wasn’t to use a ship at all: I wanted a diamond or a circle that would sprout spikes to shoot, following the same logic.

From a diamond to a ship

I ended up using a ship because I liked the idea of a space theme, with a spaceship and a galaxy in the background.

A quick, casual game

For me, the premise of this game was that it had to be quick and casual: something you could play for a few minutes and have a good time with or, if you get a little obsessive, keep yourself entertained.

What’s next

The October 29, 2026 update captures about 80% of the full vision I had for the game. I’m thinking about making ChipShip Colors 2 in the future.
